Farming Glint's with a Me/A Perma SF Build ... - Guild Wars Forums

According to pvx you should be able to farm Glint's Challenge with this build. But, there is something getting past Shadow Form that keeps killing me. Anyone know if I am doing something wrong ... or if this is even possible.

That would be the good old Hex Eater Vortex. (Mesmer Domination Elite)

I.E Elite Spell. Remove a hex from target ally. If a hex is removed in this way, foes near that ally take 30...78...90 damage and lose one enchantment.

Idk anything about the quest..but you shouldnt apply hexes to things that stand near you. If you target the thing that is casting Hex Eater Vortex and take it out from a distance, you should be able to handle everything else fine.

What you need to avoid are the Destroyers of Thoughts be vary they also carry Shatter Hex.

The worse thing is I am not sure how to get round it.

You cant do glint's challenge with that build. The only current working build i know of is this:

e/mo 12 earth, 3+1 air (if you like to glyph both stoneflesh and obi), 12 healing (or spread some to e-storage)

Glyph of Swiftness
Obsidian Flesh
Stoneflesh Aura
Armor of Earth
Healing Breeze
Alkars Alchemical Acid
Sliver Armor
Balt Spirit

this build does nm or hm, and you will need a shield with 16armor

Shadow form is fail

Also the Destroyer of Souls use [Vengeful Weapon]. This will also get past [Shadow Form]. Make sure that you do not swing your weapon at any of the destroyers while you are farming or you may get hit by this. Try putting a heal on your bar to see if it will help you any, recommend [Shadow Refuge].

Perma chain, [channeling][spirit of failure][ether nightmare][radiation field][vipers defense]

Keep perma up (123), energy with 4,5, use: Radiation field, Ether nightmare, Vipers Defense (in that order). Why? Rad field = no hex = no hex shattering. Ether nightmare= degen, Vipers defense=additional degen + escape from Shatter hex
only works in nm though
